If you are only for a limited amount in time in Norway; I strongly suggest to have a look at the Norway in a nutshell tours. Personally I want to book everything for myself; but they offer as well packaged sight seeing transportation tickets so you do not have to book everything yourself seperatly.

If you are in Bergen I strongly recommend the Hardanger trip; this as this takes you to the beautifull mountains; back down to the Hardanger Fjord; a boat trip through the fjords and depending of the options; the boat back to Bergen or a buss over the mountains back to Bergen.

This trip brings you to all scenary that is a must see in Norway; and this in 1 day!

And to make this journey a bit more special; book your transportation tickets from Bergen -> Myrdal from www.NSB.no; and rent a bicycle to cycle from Myrdal to Flåm!

I strongly recommend to start early with a train from Bergen to Myrdal!

Ut.no is the first thing you should look at when you are coming to this beautifull country. If you are only staying a couple of days in a place or you are planning to drive around; no matter what you do; it has suggestions for walks from a couple of hours to a week of hiking; including suggestions to stay in cabins!
